Belmont Plaza Pool

The lifeguards are lucky. They sit on their phones, not looking at the pool. Dress in heavy clothes and laced up high tops. In no way looking or acting prepared for any emergency. The music is more family appropriate than what I have heard in past summers. The single bathroom is gross. And they lock it up about 30 minutes before closing time. The shower room door doesn't close. The water is a decent temperature and looks clean. $4, credit only. (I'm a sporadic, not regular, user.)

Belmont Plaza Pool is such a win. I took my girls and they had the best time, which means I got to sit there feeling like I’d absolutely nailed parenting for the day. I also love that youth swim for free because taking kids out shouldn’t require a small loan. Clean, fun, family-friendly, and a great way to wear everyone out before bedtime.

love belmont! well worth the walk over on the beach. usually just go for some laps but recently went to a class with a young man with lots of tattoos on both arms, was definitely more of a work-out than i expected! he led with a lot of energy and care. will be going back!

I live in Colorado. I’m originally from Orange County California and have made this place my home when I’m here visiting. I’m a triathlete. I’m in the water quite often and this pool has been great. Every time I show up. The people are nice. Lanes are never a problem. Everyone willing to share even when it’s crowded. A good place to be when you’re not at home.

Water is warm and entry fees are cheap. The bathroom/shower facilities are in temporary trailers that could use more regular cleaning and maintenance. Nice little neighborhood pool.
